Eriksberg Gantry Crane, Gothenburg

One of Gothenburg’s most important landmarks is to be renovated.

The gantry crane at Eriksberg is one of Gothenburg’s most famous landmarks and a symbol of Gothenburg’s shipbuilding history. It was in use at the Eriksberg shipyard until 1979. Since 2012, it has been a listed building and is to be preserved for posterity. During the summer of 2021, we will begin repainting the crane to restore its red color, which has faded since it was last painted in 1992.
