Railway Bridge Stora Helvetet, Storlien

The Central Line (Mittbanan) over the ravine with the somewhat unique name Stora Helvetet was built in the late 19th century. Over the years, the railway embankment over the ravine has been affected by movements and settlements, which have been constantly and closely monitored using landslide warning systems.

The construction of the new bridge is now complete, and the new bridge was put into operation in October 2018.

Mytec has participated in the anti-corrosion painting following the assembly of the bridge’s load-bearing steel structures.

The work will be concluded during 2019.
