The new bridge by Slussen, Stockholm

The bridge is being built in steel and is one of a kind in Sweden. It will work fulfil two main functions as a bridge for the traffic across the Slussen canal and as a roof for the premises beneath the bridge. Furthermore, it will protect the people milling around in this area from adverse weather conditions, says Peter Svärd, project manager for this refurbishment of the Slussen area.

The bridge will be delivered in one single unit from Zhongshan in China and will be approx. 140 metres long, 55 metres wide and weigh approx 3,700 tonnes.
Mytec participates on site in China and provides technical training of staff members over there. The unique gold paint, which will adorn the bridge, requires a rather precise and particular application technique!
